1) Wall Studs - Exterior wall studs are 2x4’s on 16” centers or closer utilizing high grade lumber. (code calls 2x4’s utilizing high grade lumber or 2x6’s using lower grade lumber) 

2) Roof Trusses – Zone II construction has double trusses in specified locations. Zone III construction has additional trusses  and additional doubled trusses

3) Floor Joists - Sturdy 2" x 6" floor joists are crafted into every home for additional load requirements.  Floor decking is nominal ¾” tongue & groove O.S,B.

4) Exterior Wall Sheathing - Structural wall sheathing  increases strength, energy efficiency and reduces sound as well as moisture from penetrating the walls.

5) Window Headers - Headers above windows and passage doors insure solid construction.

6) Multiple Studs - Multiple studs at windows and doors accommodate the attachment of storm covers.  The factory  structural parts are covered for 7 years by our American Home Guard guarantee.

7) Sliding Door Headers - Headers above sliding glass doors add to the structural strength of your home.

8) Roof Sheathing - 7/16" thick rated sheathing fastened every 4 or 6 inches on center, depending on where it is located on the roof.

9) Shingle Underlayment – Waterproof membrane is applied to the entire perimeter and valleys of the roof

10) Fiberglass Shingles - Three- tab fiberglass roof shingles are used for long-lasting beauty with a 20 year or more shingle manufacturer limited warranty. Our shingles are nailed not stapled. You can choose the color.

11) Attic Insulation - Blown Insulation throughout the entire attic makes cooling and heating less expensive. Fiberglass bat insulation wraps the overhead A/C ducts.

12) Wall Insulation - Keep fuel bills low with money-saving wall insulation on every side. Formaldehyde free fiberglass bats with an R value of 11.

13) Column Uplift Straps - The center of the home has been strengthened 50% to 100% against uplift forces by adding more piers and anchoring devices.

14) Lag Bolts for Strength - Flooring to frame strength is secured with more lag bolts and the number of anchor straps has significantly increased. Our homes have full width steel outriggers which are also attached to the floor system with lag bolts

15)   Solid steel I-beam frame- Our homes are built on a solid USA made, welded steel I-beam frame (not corrugated).  Each frame is sealed with a rust –inhibitive black paint.

16)   200 amp electrical panel- Along with copper wiring and ground fault interrupter breakers helps make our homes more modern and safe. The factory installed electrical system is covered for 7 years by our American Home Guard guarantee.

17)   Overhead air conditioning and heat ducts-  Aid energy efficiency, look better and make furniture arrangement easier.

18)    Smoke alarms in each bedroom & living area- Adds to the excellent fire safety record our homes have established over the years since 1976.

20)  30 gallon water heater- larger sizes are an available option. The water heater
